Scientist II (Bioanalysis)

What you will do

• Perform routine laboratory analyses, sample preparation, and bioanalytical activities using approved methods, protocols, and SOPs.
• Operate, set up, and maintain standard laboratory equipment, including balances, pipettes, centrifuges, and analytical instruments.
• Document procedures, results, and observations according to GxP standards and complete basic data quality control reviews.
• Identify common technical issues, perform basic troubleshooting, and escalate complex or unresolved problems.
• Support method execution, method optimization, routine data interpretation, written reports, and process improvement initiatives.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and EHS compliance while collaborating with colleagues and guiding less experienced staff when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, medicine, or another analytical field.
• At least 3 months of experience using computer and office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to perform complex analysis using unfamiliar or new methods and assist with final report preparation.
• Onsite work in Shanghai, China.

Nice to have

• At least 2 years of experience in small molecule bioanalysis.
• Experience with standard laboratory equipment and analytical instrumentation.
• Experience with troubleshooting, method development, qualification, maintenance, and training.
• Experience acting as a technical resource or project leader with guidance.
