Senior Staff Software Engineer (Agentic AI)

Location: Must be legally entitled to work in the country where the position is located.

Salary: $155,480–$194,300 per year.

What you will do

• Lead technical delivery for a Product Engineering squad and translate product roadmaps into actionable development cycles.
• Architect and develop high-concurrency Python backend services for shopping carts, order processing, and transactional workflows.
• Design agent-ready APIs with Pydantic, OpenAPI, and MCP so autonomous agents can reliably execute business actions.
• Build secure integration layers using OAuth2 and webhooks for customer ERP and procurement systems.
• Implement error handling and response hints that help agents diagnose and correct invalid requests.
• Own authorization, performance optimization, and database efficiency across web, mobile, and agent interactions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership and architecture of complex transactional backend systems.
• Expert Python experience with FastAPI and Django.
• Strong REST API design skills, including tool-calling patterns and structured data exchange for LLMs.
• Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL or MS SQL, plus production experience with OAuth2 and JWT.
• Experience with Angular or TypeScript, cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS, and secure containerized services.
• Experience using coding agents to plan, generate, test, and review complex backend code.
