Inventory Team Leader (Manufacturing)

Location: Chicago, Illinois; onsite work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment

Salary: $22.00–$23.00 per hour

What you will do

• Lead the inventory and cycle counter team while assigning, reviewing, and coordinating daily work.
• Maintain the integrity of the perpetual inventory system, monitor work-in-progress and exception data, and run weekly inventory reports.
• Plan and execute daily cycle counts, physical inventories, month-end counts, audits, and ABC material code assignments.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, reconcile variances, and identify root causes.
• Support production and customer delivery by managing inventory adjustments and returned parts.
• Promote Lean, 5S, safety, continuous improvement, leadership development, and succession planning.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of leadership experience.
• 1–3 years of inventory control experience.
• High school diploma or GED desired, or equivalent experience and training.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to work actively around moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, conveyor lines, outdoor conditions, and variable temperatures; lifting items over 50 pounds may be required.

Nice to have

• At least one year of warehouse experience.
• At least one year of system analysis experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
