Senior Kotlin Back-End Developer

Location: Fully remote, with candidates required to live in Portugal or be legally qualified to live and work there; listed locations are Coimbra and Lisbon.

Salary: €35,310–€54,400 gross per year

What you will do

• Develop server-side applications with a strong focus on Kotlin.
• Design and implement distributed systems and microservices.
• Build and operate cloud-native solutions using AWS and Kubernetes.
• Work with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Use automated testing and observability tools to support reliable performance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on digital products and client projects.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Kotlin in server-side development.
• Experience designing distributed systems and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes in cloud-native environments.
• Proficiency with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit and Testcontainers, and observability tools such as Grafana.
• Fluent spoken and written English; must live in Portugal or be legally qualified to live and work there.
