Registered Nurse-Emergency Department Full-Time Nights (Emergency Nursing)

Location: 1 Kish Hospital Dr., DeKalb, Illinois, United States; onsite night shift

Salary: USD 36.50–58.40 per hour

What you will do

• Assess emergency department patients across physical, psychological, emotional, cultural, and environmental needs.
• Develop, update, and implement individualized nursing care plans with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer medications and treatments, provide pain management, and deliver patient and family education.
• Monitor treatment responses, diagnostic data, and changes in patient condition, initiating appropriate nursing interventions.
• Coordinate communication with physicians, healthcare providers, hospital departments, and community agencies.
• Document assessments, interventions, teaching, care-plan updates, and patient outcomes while supporting discharge planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing is acceptable with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• Ability to follow nursing standards, hospital policies, OSHA requirements, and applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
