Software Engineer (Kernel/Toolchain) (C/C++)

Development of a real-time operating system certified according to the aviation DO178C standard.

What you will do

• Develop kernel drivers and new features for a real-time operating system.
• Develop and support customized GNU and LLVM toolchains for a real-time Unix-like system.
• Port and customize new toolchain and library versions, including GCC, GDB, LLVM, and Libgcc.
• Write tests, fix bugs, and support legacy software.
• Document code-change rationales and new development.
• Participate in product certification according to the DO178C standard.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong C/C++ programming and algorithmic skills, including experience solving programming olympiad problems.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycles and compiler and debugger internals.
• Understanding of Linux or RTOS kernel internals and Unix application development.
• Experience with GNU and LLVM toolchains, shell utilities, shell scripting, Makefiles, and Unix development environments.
• Knowledge of x86, ARM, RISC-V, and PowerPC microarchitectures and hardware platforms; experience with VS Code or Eclipse.
