C++ Senior Software Engineer (Linux Kernel)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Linux kernel features and tests for EOS using C, C++, and Python.
• Track upstream Linux kernel developments and integrate new kernel versions into EOS.
• Design kernel features and contribute changes to the mainline Linux kernel.
• Qualify CPUs, NICs, and other kernel-dependent hardware components with hardware engineers and vendors.
• Analyze and resolve issues found by customers, Customer Support Engineers, and System Test Engineers.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor new and junior engineers.

Requirements

• BSc, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with 3+ years of related postgraduate work experience.
• Expert knowledge and extensive programming experience in C; knowledge of C++ and Python.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting, debugging, and developing Linux kernel features.
• Familiarity with Linux kernel architecture, implementation, and the upstream patching process.
• Understanding of IP networking, modern software engineering practices, and software design.
• Familiarity with x86 and ARM CPU architectures and the ability to work independently or in small teams.
