TL;DR
Principal Engineer - Software (C/C++, Qt, MSVC, Linux) (embedded software): Designing and maintaining high-performance cross-platform applications for embedded control products with an accent on C/C++, Qt, Windows, and Linux development. What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software applications using C/C++ and Qt.
- Build cross-platform solutions with MSVC libraries and Linux system libraries.
- Manage GCC compiler upgrades and maintain build toolchains using gmake and Bazel.
- Automate workflows and support build, testing, and deployment activities with Python, Bash, Perl, and PowerShell.
- Integrate and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab, and Bitbucket.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot complex issues, review code, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of professional software development experience with C/C++; the role description also specifies 12 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Extensive experience developing Qt applications.
- Advanced Python and scripting skills, including Bash, Perl, or PowerShell.
- Strong knowledge of MSVC and Linux system libraries, GCC compiler upgrades, gmake, and Bazel.
- Experience with CI/CD, Git, software development life cycle practices, debugging, collaboration, and technical leadership.
