IAM Software Developer (Contractor) - 27R0001715 (Identity & Access Management)

Location: Hybrid role based within commuting distance of Austin, Texas, with regular on-site collaboration at 5805 N. Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78752. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time.

What you will do

• Own the enterprise identity and access management ecosystem for a public safety client.
• Design and deploy centralized identity provider frameworks supporting SAML 2.0, OIDC, SSO, and MFA.
• Develop RBAC models, enforce separation of duties, and automate identity lifecycle workflows.
• Lead enterprise application onboarding through REST APIs across modern and legacy platforms.
• Manage SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, access reviews, certification campaigns, and audit reporting.
• Implement PAM capabilities including credential vaulting, automated rotation, and just-in-time access.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in IAM architecture, governance, enterprise application integration, identity lifecycle automation, and custom scripting.
• 5+ years of experience with identity provider architecture, SSO, MFA, RBAC, separation of duties, and access certification campaigns.
• 3+ years of experience with SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, application integrations, access reviews, PAM, automated provisioning, and compliance reporting.
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell and Python.
• Must be based within commuting distance of Austin and available for regular on-site collaboration.
• Availability during 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time, Monday through Friday, excluding official state holidays.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering identity, security, or enterprise software engineering solutions for state government or public-sector agencies.
• Familiarity with Texas state IT standards, regulatory frameworks, and public safety data environments.
