Senior Platform Engineer (Up to $25k Sign-on) (6842)

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States. Employment eligibility verification in the United States is required.

Salary: $170,000–$260,000 per year. The role may also include performance-based bonuses, training or certification compensation, and referral bonuses.

What you will do

• Engineer, administer, automate, and sustain shared platform services for multiple customer mission teams.
• Build, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize Linux-based cloud and DevOps services.
• Provision and manage AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, RDS, security groups, and Elastic Load Balancing.
• Operate and troubleshoot containerized services and workloads using Docker or Podman.
• Configure and integrate CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins and GitLab.
• Develop reusable automation scripts, configuration patterns, deployment procedures, and integrations with source control, artifact repositories, identity, security, monitoring, logging, and ticketing systems.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly, or the ability to obtain CI Poly.
• 5–10+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, platform operations, cloud infrastructure, or infrastructure engineering.
• Production or mission-environment experience administering and troubleshooting Linux systems.
• Experience supporting AWS infrastructure and containerized workloads with Docker and/or Podman.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines from scratch with GitLab and/or Jenkins, plus Git-based source-control workflows.
• Ability to automate infrastructure and processes with Bash and/or Python and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
