Senior Clinical Informaticist (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Design and deliver enterprise-grade clinical data and analytics solutions.
• Provide subject matter expertise on clinical ontologies, vocabularies, code sets, and healthcare interoperability.
• Develop business rules and code-based definitions for clinical data domains, sensitive data, disease states, reimbursement episodes, pharmacy use, and care plans.
• Collaborate with health plan, clinical, administrative, and IT teams to define data needs and deliver analytic solutions.
• Support the design, build, and deployment of real-time analytics, streaming and alerting, data integration, interoperability, NLP, and AI/ML solutions.
• Provide clinical process and systems expertise, training, and support for research activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Informatics, Health Information Management, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience and education.
• At least 5 years of clinical care experience and 3 years of hands-on experience with an EHR such as Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, or a comparable system.
• At least 3 years of experience in clinical workflow, clinical systems, clinical data analysis, analytics, business intelligence, or reporting.
• At least 1 year of experience working with healthcare claims data.
• Experience with healthcare vocabularies and code sets including ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, SNOMED-CT, LOINC, and RxNorm.
• Intermediate to advanced SQL, basic R coding, data preparation and transformation skills, and familiarity with HL7, FHIR, IHE, and X12.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Nursing, Informatics, Health Information Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Clinical licensure, such as nursing licensure, or clinical coding certification.
• Experience supporting academic or scholarly research, including manuscripts, data documentation, and reporting standards.
