Senior Product Owner (ServiceNow)

Location: Remote work is authorized for U.S. citizens and must support US Eastern time zone working hours. Employee work locations are monitored, foreign locations and foreign IP addresses are blocked, and personal VPN connections are prohibited. Preference is given to candidates living in the Washington, DC metro area. Nationwide Remote Office (US99).

Salary: $89,649–$152,404 per year for full-time employment.

What you will do

• Communicate the product vision, integrated roadmap, and prioritization approach for ServiceNow capabilities and workstreams.
• Translate mission objectives, stakeholder needs, and user feedback into product outcomes, epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release objectives.
• Lead product discovery, requirements elicitation, refinement, and prioritization sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
• Maintain a delivery-ready backlog and coordinate product decisions affecting releases and cross-workstream dependencies.
• Partner with architects, developers, testers, business analysts, and operational leads to ensure capabilities are feasible, testable, and aligned with product outcomes.
• Support user acceptance testing, release planning, adoption, governance, and platform sustainment.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance are required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, computer science, public administration, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in product ownership, product management, business analysis, or related Agile delivery roles.
• At least 3 years of experience supporting ServiceNow or a comparable enterprise workflow platform.
• Experience translating mission and user needs into prioritized outcomes and delivery-ready artifacts.
• Strong analytical, facilitation, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with ServiceNow ITSM, CSM, HRSD, ITOM, ITAM, App Engine, or related modules.
• Experience with ServiceNow Agile Development, Jira, Confluence, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or other scaled Agile models.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow configuration, workflow automation, integrations, release governance, and out-of-the-box-first implementation practices.
• Experience in federal contracting, enterprise modernization, platform rationalization, shared services transformation, or product consolidation.
• Experience mentoring analysts or junior product owners and using process modeling tools such as Visio or Lucidchart.
