Cybersecurity Analyst I (Cybersecurity)

Location: New York, New York, United States; hybrid work arrangement

Base salary: $80,000–$90,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus incentives and benefits.

What you will do

• Monitor, detect, investigate, and respond to threats across NGFW, NDR, EDR, TIP, and SIEM platforms.
• Perform host triage, malware analysis, remote system analysis, user interviews, and remediation activities.
• Maintain security monitoring tools and improve SOC detection and response procedures.
• Document incident activities, findings, remediation actions, and escalation paths.
• Collaborate with system and network administrators to remediate platform-level risks and vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• At least three years of direct information security experience within an IT organization.
• Experience working in a 24/7 security operations center.
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, MIS, engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent IT experience with relevant cybersecurity certifications may be considered.
• Strong knowledge of incident response, threat management, attacker tactics and techniques, operating systems, networking, and Microsoft Active Directory.
• Knowledge of Azure, SaaS security, MITRE ATT&CK, encryption, cryptography, malware analysis, and email investigation.
• Willingness to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays when required.

Nice to have

• CySA+, CCNA, GCIH, GCFA, or other relevant industry certifications.
• MITRE ATT&CK Defender certifications, including Cyber Threat Intelligence or SOC Assessment.
