Manager, Accounting Advisory (Behavioral Health)

Location: 100% remote anywhere in the United States; travel up to 10%.

Salary: $122,000–$165,000 annually, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Review financial reporting packages and work papers for quality, completeness, and timely delivery.
• Prepare benchmarking data, key performance indicators, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models.
• Present reporting packages and findings to clients and provide technical accounting support.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend actionable improvements.
• Lead US and offshore engagement team members to ensure high-quality deliverables and efficient workflows.
• Coach staff and senior accountants on accounting and financial reporting matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 4–6 years of public or private accounting experience, including experience with healthcare, behavioral health, nonprofit, or community-based organizations.
• Understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes, claims, contractual adjustments, fee-for-service reimbursement, and PMPM or capitation models.
• Experience with state and federal funding compliance, program reporting, financial reporting, and analysis.
• At least 3 years of experience managing associates or teams.
• Proficiency with Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Bill.com, and similar accounting technologies; CPA, CMA, or comparable certification is preferred.
