About the Role

You will build and maintain modern C++ services on Linux that power trading, market data, and client-facing REST, WebSocket, and FIX gateways. You will deliver scoped work to production, write automated tests, investigate production issues, support observability and deployments, participate in code review, and maintain documentation.

Requirements

• 2+ years writing production systems code
• Working proficiency in modern C++17 or newer and tooling including CMake, gcc or clang, and a unit test framework
• Ability to develop, run, build, and debug Linux services from the command line
• Understanding of concurrency and memory fundamentals
• Daily proficiency with Claude Code or comparable agentic tooling
• Clear written communication and sound judgment

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trading services in modern C++ on Linux
• Deliver scoped project slices from ticket through production deployment
• Develop market-data pipeline components, including feed handlers, snapshots, sequencing, and client resynchronization
• Extend REST, WebSocket, and FIX client gateways
• Write and maintain automated tests for failure and restart behavior
• Investigate production issues using logs, metrics, and dashboards
• Support deployments and observability with Grafana dashboards and Prometheus metrics
• Participate in code review and maintain documentation
