Senior Commercial Manager (Retail)

Frasers Group operates a global retail brand ecosystem including hirify.global, Sports Direct, USC, Frasers, GAME, and Sports Directory, which supplies sports education equipment to schools.

What you will do

• Manage and develop a broad portfolio of sports and education products.
• Review product ranges, brands, quality, price points, sales performance, and market opportunities.
• Identify products to introduce, expand, re-source, promote, clear, or discontinue.
• Build supplier relationships, negotiate costs and terms, and lead regular commercial reviews.
• Maintain forecasts and purchase orders while managing stock availability, excess inventory, and working-capital risk.
• Collaborate with suppliers, marketing, design, and internal teams to deliver product and commercial actions.

Requirements

• Experience in buying, category management, product management, or a similar commercial role.
• Strong supplier-management and negotiation experience.
• Experience with forecasting, purchase ordering, stock management, pricing, margins, and commercial performance.
• Strong analytical, communication, organisational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Confidence working independently, taking ownership of decisions, and challenging existing ways of working.
• Experience with product information or PIM systems.

Nice to have

• Experience in schools, education, physical education, or the sports-equipment market.
• Understanding of how schools plan and purchase and what teachers need from suppliers.
