Data Scientist Lead (AI Governance & Validation)

Location: In-office role based in Pittsburgh, PA; Strongsville, OH; Dallas, TX; or Birmingham, AL

Base salary: $112,000–$228,800 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Own the enterprise portfolio of AI solution validation and assurance activities.
• Evaluate AI solutions before release and make certification and go/no-go decisions based on risk-aligned controls.
• Lead post-deployment monitoring of AI performance, risk, and safety metrics, including escalation and remediation of threshold breaches.
• Partner with solution owners, delivery teams, data architects, data analysts, data engineers, and visualization experts to develop compliant data-driven solutions.
• Direct analytical projects involving large structured and unstructured datasets, data gathering, processing, mining, and advanced analytics.
• Provide enterprise-wide thought leadership on AI validation, data science practices, governance, and risk management.

Requirements

• Must work in an office in Pittsburgh, Strongsville, Dallas, or Birmingham.
• Typically requires a university or college degree; a comparable combination of education, certifications, and experience may be considered.
• Industry-relevant experience of approximately 8 or more years.
• Advanced expertise in data science, data analytics, data mining, machine learning, modeling, prototyping, and database access tools.
• Master’s degree preferred or expected for the role.
• Employment visa sponsorship and STEM OPT participation are not available.
