Texas A&M AgriLife Research conducts agricultural and life sciences research through the Texas A&M University System.

What you will do

• Supervise experiments and coordinate facility use, labor, research schedules, data collection, and equipment use at the McGregor Research Center.
• Collect, manage, enter, analyze, and summarize research, herd management, livestock, pasture, and feed data.
• Coordinate cattle management and husbandry activities, including vaccinations, tagging, feeding, animal movement, and maintenance of animal records.
• Operate, maintain, update, and repair research equipment and technical systems.
• Supervise and train undergraduate and graduate students and laboratory, technical, and field personnel.
• Prepare results for scientific and client-facing publications and maintain financial accounts related to research projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least two years of related professional experience.
• Familiarity with laboratory and technical equipment.
• Ability to use computers and applicable software to create databases and perform computer-related tasks.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, communicate effectively, and collaborate with others.
• Work is based at the McGregor Research Center in McGregor, Texas.
