Postdoctoral Research Associate (Soil Health)

What you will do

• Analyze and interpret soil physical, chemical, and biological datasets from grazinglands research projects.
• Evaluate near-infrared spectroscopy for estimating soil health characteristics.
• Assess how grazing management influences soil health indicators across different ecological contexts.
• Prepare peer-reviewed manuscripts, conference presentations, and other research outputs.
• Communicate findings to scientific audiences, livestock producers, and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to future research questions, analyses, and project development related to grazing management and soil health.

Requirements

• PhD in rangeland management, soil science, natural resource management, environmental science, ecology, or a related field.
• Peer-reviewed publications demonstrating independent research experience.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting complex environmental, agricultural, or ecological datasets.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage projects with limited supervision, and collaborate effectively.
• Ability to communicate research findings and engage professionally with livestock producers and other stakeholders.
