Location: Hybrid on-site in Austin, Texas or Washington, D.C.; up to 5% travel. U.S. citizenship is required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

What you will do
- Own day-to-day export controls and trade compliance operations, policies, regulatory change management, and cross-functional program execution.
- Manage DDTC registrations, renewals, government filings, certifications, reporting, and correspondence with DDTC, BIS, and other agencies.
- Prepare and track export licenses, agreements, authorizations, and classification requests through DECCS and SNAP-R, including DSP-5s, TAAs, and MLAs.
- Determine and document jurisdiction and classification for software, source code, technical data, hardware, and integrated systems under USML and CCL/ECCN frameworks.
- Administer restricted-party screening, foreign-person and visitor controls, ITAR exemptions, EAR license exceptions, Technology Control Plans, and Technology Transfer Plans.
- Deliver training, audits, investigations, corrective actions, import and customs compliance, government inquiries, and audit-ready recordkeeping.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on U.S. import, export, or trade compliance experience, including ITAR and EAR.
- Strong knowledge of ITAR, EAR, OFAC sanctions, CCL, ECCNs, USML, deemed exports, and U.S. customs requirements.
- Experience administering DDTC or BIS licenses, agreements, authorizations, classification requests, and regulatory correspondence.
- Experience with DECCS, SNAP-R, restricted-party screening, Technology Control Plans, Technology Transfer Plans, and audit-ready records.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance are required.
Nice to have
- Active Secret or higher DoD security clearance.
- Experience in defense technology, aerospace, autonomous systems, robotics, or another regulated technical environment.
- Experience with international defense programs, FMS, DCS, overseas deployments, audits, investigations, or voluntary disclosures.
- Graduate degree or certification such as CECP, LCB, or CUSECO.
