Staff Application Engineer (Salesforce)

What you will do

• Architect, build, and own Salesforce Sales Cloud for Firefox Enterprise and multiple enterprise product lines.
• Define scalable data models, account and opportunity structures, sales processes, role hierarchies, record types, and sharing rules.
• Develop lead-to-cash capabilities covering quoting, contracting, orders, service delivery, entitlements, renewals, and revenue-management integrations.
• Build integrations with NetSuite, BigQuery, contract-management systems, and other operational platforms.
• Establish environment governance, source control, automated testing, deployment pipelines, release controls, rollback practices, and operational runbooks.
• Build secure MCP servers and AI-assisted workflows while partnering with Sales, Revenue Operations, Finance, Legal, Security, IT, and implementation partners.

Requirements

• At least eight years of experience in Salesforce engineering, administration, or architecture.
• Experience leading the implementation and ongoing operation of a complex Salesforce environment.
• Advanced proficiency with Salesforce Flow, validation rules, approval processes, record types, permission models, and sharing rules.
• Hands-on experience reading, writing, testing, and reviewing Apex, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components.
• Experience designing Salesforce data and security models for multiple business units, integrating enterprise systems through APIs or middleware, and building secure AI assistants, agents, or MCP integrations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; ability to communicate architecture decisions and lead complex cross-functional work.

Nice to have

• Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer, Application Architect, or System Architect credentials.
• Experience with environment management, automated testing, source control, CI/CD, and release management.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with NetSuite, BigQuery, Workato, Celigo, MuleSoft, or comparable platforms.
• Experience with service contracts, entitlements, delivery operations, subscription renewals, CPQ, or contract-lifecycle workflows.
• Experience operating Salesforce in ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similarly controlled environments.
