Designer - Topshop Tailoring (12 month FTC)

What you will do

• Lead the creative direction and design strategy for the Topshop Tailoring category.
• Research fashion trends, catwalks, street style, cultural movements, social media, and competitor activity.
• Design commercially relevant tailoring ranges, including tailored separates and modern wardrobe essentials.
• Create detailed design packs, CADs, and technical briefs for product development and supplier communication.
• Develop fabrics, trims, finishes, fit, proportions, and silhouettes with Product Development, suppliers, and Technical teams.
• Analyse trade performance and customer feedback, present seasonal concepts, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver products on time, within cost, and to quality standards.

Requirements

• Strong experience in a tailoring design role within a fast-paced fashion retailer or contemporary fashion brand.
• Excellent knowledge of tailoring construction, fit principles, fabrications, and garment finishing techniques.
• Ability to identify emerging trends and translate insights into commercially successful products.
• Highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD development.
• Strong presentation, communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
• A design portfolio demonstrating tailoring expertise, trend-led thinking, and a clear creative point of view.
