Supply Chain and Quality Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Manching, Germany; the role includes international travel for on-site supplier audits and technical assessments.

What you will do

• Drive supplier contract execution and On-Quality, On-Time delivery performance across systems and equipment programs.
• Manage the end-to-end supply chain for complex systems and equipment integrated into combat and UAV platforms.
• Identify technical and supply risks, implement surveillance plans, and lead recovery actions.
• Coordinate technical interfaces between Engineering, Procurement, and external Tier-1 system suppliers.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments covering APQP, IPCA, CCPs, and Transfers of Work.
• Manage corrective action plans and represent SCQ Operations in Vendor Review Board and other governance forums.

Requirements

• Advanced expertise in systems and equipment such as avionics, mission systems, sensors, or specialized UAV hardware.
• Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field.
• Professional experience in a highly regulated industry, preferably aerospace or defense.
• Demonstrated supplier auditing, capability assessment, and industrial maturity experience, including APQP or PPAP.
• Full professional proficiency in German and English is required.
• Experience with supply chain change management, procurement IT tools, ERP systems, and data-driven performance recovery.

Nice to have

• Experience as an Airbus Supplier Lead Auditor.
• Specialized expertise in combat systems or unmanned aerial platforms.
