Technician (HVAC/Refrigeration)

Location: On-site in Lafayette, Indiana, five days per week

Salary: $18.09–$31.65 per hour

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair Thermo King and Carrier transport refrigeration units.
• Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify equipment components.
• Work with refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, diesel, and microprocessor systems.
• Use diagnostic computers, web-based training, and work order systems.
• Keep paperwork and work orders updated after completing repairs.
• Provide dependable service in a fast-paced environment while following safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience with transport refrigeration, HVAC, Thermo King repair, or diesel engine repair.
• EPA 608 Universal or Type 1 and 2 certification and EPA 609 certification.
• Ability to work overtime and on-call shifts, supply personal tools, and maintain required certifications and training.
• Current valid driver's license with a driving record meeting company insurance requirements.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift, communicate effectively, follow instructions, and perform physically demanding work including standing, climbing, kneeling, and reaching.

Nice to have

• Technical degree or additional technical certification.
• Experience with Thermo King refrigeration repair, HVAC systems, diesel engines, or low- and high-voltage electrical systems.
