Full-Stack Software Engineer

Location: Hybrid work in Berlin or Konstanz, Germany

What you will do

• Build and maintain end-to-end features for KNIME’s user-facing products.
• Design robust backend business logic and contribute to cross-stack architecture using Java and Vue.
• Translate product requirements into intuitive, consistent user experiences with product managers and designers.
• Use AI-assisted coding tools responsibly and track AI-agent usage in daily development.
• Maintain code quality through automated testing, peer reviews, and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Identify and mitigate technical debt, security issues, and architectural risks.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong frontend experience with Vue, React, or a similar framework.
• Strong backend experience with Java and modern Java frameworks.
• Experience contributing to existing software architecture and working in unfamiliar codebases.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written; hybrid work from Berlin or Konstanz is required.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with Golang.
• Experience working with AI agents.
