Senior Software Engineer (AI/React)

What you will do

• Guide feature development for the Search Funnel team across React, TypeScript, Node.js, Java, and Next.js.
• Drive technical decisions, code design standards, and long-term system health.
• Architect and maintain a clean, scalable modular monolith for high-traffic applications.
• Apply GenAI tools across design, coding, testing, deployment, and operations.
• Improve frontend performance, Core Web Vitals, SEO, backend efficiency, observability, and production readiness.
• Lead A/B experimentation, data-informed iteration, mentoring, and technical growth across the team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• Recent experience leading teams of 5 or more people.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Experience building and operating high-traffic applications in a product-focused environment.
• Demonstrated ability to use GenAI coding tools to improve development speed and quality, plus experience integrating LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, or Vertex AI into production applications.
• Strong knowledge of frontend performance, SEO, Core Web Vitals, experimentation, feature flags, communication, and mentoring.

Nice to have

• Backend expertise in Java and distributed systems; Scala experience is a plus.
• Experience with marketplace platforms or high-visibility consumer products.
• Knowledge of frontend architecture at scale, including routing, state management, and modular UI design.
• Contributions to tooling, testing strategies, or performance profiling.
