Machine Learning Engineer (AI)

Location: Maastricht, Netherlands. The role includes travel to local and international clients.

What you will do

• Lead an internal team developing AI products and shape the future of machine learning engineering at hirify.global.
• Build production-level ML and AI solutions with robust software engineering practices.
• Design architectures and make technical decisions for cloud environments.
• Help Data Scientists scale models into production through parallelization, optimization, tuning, testing, and wrapping.
• Contribute machine learning expertise to multidisciplinary client projects and workshops.
• Deliver training, lead meetings, organize events, and communicate expertise through articles, conferences, and press releases.

Requirements

• MSc-level education in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience building production-quality machine learning or deep learning pipelines and models.
• Strong machine learning fundamentals and expertise in a domain such as Computer Vision, Deep Learning, or NLP.
• Expert Python skills plus experience with at least one of Scala, C++, or Java; database experience with SQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; Unix command line, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks.
• Fluent spoken and written English and Dutch are required. A work permit cannot be provided.

Nice to have

• Previous management consulting experience.
• Experience coaching or mentoring other engineers.
