Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Spain; remote, with flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid model across Europe.

What you will do

• Develop, prototype, deploy, and improve binary classification and regression models for financial crime detection during transaction processing and client onboarding.
• Own and evolve the Dynamic Risk Score across all markets, scoring the full client base daily for client-lifecycle decisioning.
• Develop and optimize ML-driven transaction rules to improve detection performance and reduce unnecessary alerts.
• Build continuous monitoring for model and rule performance in production.
• Develop champion-challenger and A/B evaluation frameworks to keep the best-performing model live.
• Contribute to infrastructure for model operationalization, serving, inference, and inter-service interactions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Full-stack Data Scientist.
• Production deployment experience, including API services such as FastAPI.
• Strong Python, SQL, and cloud data platform skills, including platforms such as Databricks.
• Strong architectural skills and experience designing infrastructure for models of varying complexity.
• Experience with production model monitoring and champion-challenger or A/B evaluation.
• Quantitative education in mathematics, engineering, economics, or computer science, plus full working proficiency in English.

• Experience with graph modeling.
