Senior Quality Engineer

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; hybrid workplace

hirify.global builds integrated software for technology events, supporting attendee registration, networking, ticketing, and event access.

What you will do

• Build repeatable end-to-end tests for key attendee journeys, including registration, login, ticket assignment, and event entry.
• Create reusable test identities, realistic event data, and test environments for multiple engineering teams.
• Run weekly end-to-end flows across native mobile apps, the React Native app, APIs, services, and third-party systems.
• Provide clear evidence of release dependencies and communicate risks to engineers and non-engineers.
• Investigate failures using logs, monitoring, and crash reports.
• Work on-site at events and turn observations into tests, monitors, or documented decisions.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience building reusable test software used by other engineers.
• Strong programming skills and working ability in at least one of Ruby, JavaScript, Swift, or Kotlin, with the ability to read the others.
• Experience testing journeys across APIs, services, web or mobile clients, and third-party systems.
• Experience creating reusable test data and environments and running automated tests in CI/CD.
• Experience investigating failures with logs, monitoring, and crash reports and explaining risks clearly.
• Comfort using AI tools to write and maintain tests.

Nice to have

• Experience with mobile automation tools such as Maestro.
