Location: London - TVC, United Kingdom

Salary: Up to £35,000 full-time equivalent per year, plus £5,441 London Weighting. Permanent, part-time contract for 18 hours per week.

What you will do

• Create and edit subtitle files for digital video content, ensuring accuracy, readability, and accessibility.
• Review and correct automated transcripts, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and timing.
• Apply editorial and brand style guidelines across channels and content types.
• Research and fact-check names, locations, terminology, and references.
• Manage multiple subtitling requests, maintain version control, and meet agreed deadlines.

Requirements

• Excellent proofreading and sub-editing skills with outstanding spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to editorial accuracy and consistency.
• Experience applying editorial standards, style guides, or quality-control processes.
• Strong research and fact-checking skills with the ability to verify information independently.
• Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities independently and collaboratively.
• Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom is subject to employment screening checks.

Nice to have

• Experience in subtitling, transcription, captioning, or similar editorial work.
• Experience with workflow or project management tools such as Monday.com.
• Experience with digital asset management, file-sharing, or version-control systems.
• Knowledge of hirify.global brands, content, audiences, and the wider digital media landscape.
