Specialist, English Media Transcription (Theatrical & Episodic Content)

Location: Onsite in London, UK; regular onsite attendance is required for secure projects.

What you will do

• Create English transcription and scripting deliverables, including Spotting Lists, English Dialogue Lists, Closed Captions, English SDH, and English Templates.
• Transcribe dialogue, narration, audio cues, on-screen text, speaker identification, scene descriptions, and sensitive events from episodic, catalog, and approved entertainment content.
• Research names, terminology, locations, and references using approved sources.
• Apply WBD formatting standards and templates, then self-review and proofread deliverables for accuracy and consistency.
• Escalate unclear audio or creative ambiguities, coordinate daily assignments, and manage work queues using internal tracking tools.
• Meet established deadlines and quality standards while maintaining confidentiality for restricted content.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in transcription, captioning, scripting, accessibility, timed text, or a related field in entertainment media, broadcast, streaming, or post-production.
• Experience using transcription, captioning, or subtitling software.
• Experience working with film, television, streaming, or other entertainment media content.
• Strong written English, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage, together with excellent listening skills.
• Attention to detail, proofreading and formatting skills, research and fact-checking ability, and the ability to follow established specifications and workflows.
• Ability to prioritize deadlines, adapt to changing production needs, collaborate with colleagues, and learn new tools and technical processes.

Nice to have

• Typing speed of 60–75 words per minute.
