What you will do
- Lead sourcing events and indirect-spend negotiations for affiliates and assigned categories.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, category strategies, market insights, and regional requirements.
- Manage complex sourcing initiatives from strategy development through supplier evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and value realization.
- Assess suppliers using total cost of ownership together with sustainability, diversity, innovation, risk, and broader business criteria.
- Collaborate with category management, business partners, country stakeholders, regional teams, suppliers, and procurement leadership.
- Monitor KPIs and value delivery, promote procurement compliance, manage supplier relationships, and contribute to continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Master's degree plus at least 4 years of experience in business partnering, category management, strategic sourcing, procurement, or a related field; or bachelor's degree plus at least 6 years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, supplier relationship management, and contract lifecycle management.
- Experience leading complex cross-functional sourcing initiatives across multiple markets, regions, or geographies.
- Strong financial, legal, commercial, analytical, negotiation, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in matrixed global organizations and translate stakeholder priorities into procurement strategies.
- Experience measuring value delivery, including pipeline generation, value realization, performance metrics, and procurement outcomes.
Nice to have
- Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or another regulated industry.
- Experience with indirect categories such as marketing services, consulting, corporate services, market intelligence, or commercial operations.
- Experience leading a small team or working as an individual contributor with advanced strategic procurement expertise.
