Assistant Area Manager (Short-Term Rentals)

Location: Palm Desert, California, United States; onsite and within a short drive of the designated vacation rental properties

Salary: $70,304 annual starting salary plus performance bonus

What you will do

• Support the Area Manager with daily operations and act as market lead and personnel manager when needed.
• Serve as a point of contact for property owners, review owner distribution statements, and coordinate with internal departments.
• Monitor and resolve guest and homeowner issues while maintaining customer satisfaction and owner-service standards.
• Inspect properties, identify quality and compliance issues, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Coordinate housekeeping, routine maintenance, property supplies, inventory, and linen levels.
• Train, coach, and evaluate field operations personnel while traveling between properties and participating in rotating after-hours on-call support.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hospitality or customer-facing experience.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Salesforce knowledge is a plus.
• Reliable car and a valid driver’s license.
• Must reside within a short drive of the designated vacation rental properties and maintain an in-market presence.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, flexible schedules, and rotating after-hours on-call shifts.
• Ability to spend most working time standing, walking, and driving, with occasional lifting of more than 25 lbs.

• Vacation rental industry experience.
• Hospitality or real estate experience.
• Accredited Residential Manager designation.
