Applications Scientist (Biotech)

Location: Newark, California, United States; laboratory and office-based work with travel up to 20%

Salary: $79,800–$131,100 per year

What you will do

• Design, optimize, execute, and analyze scientific studies and experimental workflows.
• Generate application data, validate product performance, and expand technology capabilities.
• Develop evidence-based application strategies addressing customer needs and emerging research.
• Translate scientific findings into technical documentation, publications, application notes, educational materials, and promotional content.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, R&D, Commercial teams, customers, and scientific partners.
• Represent assigned technologies at conferences, webinars, customer engagements, and other scientific events.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific training in a relevant life sciences discipline or equivalent industry experience; a PhD or Master’s degree is preferred.
• Up to five years of relevant industry, academic, or translational research experience.
• Experience with experimental design, data analysis, scientific communication, technical writing, collaboration, and project management.
• Strong presentation, stakeholder management, scientific literature interpretation, and customer focus skills.
• Must have US work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship.
• Ability to work in laboratory and office environments, operate laboratory equipment and computer systems, lift up to 25 pounds, and travel as required.
