Technical Project Manager III

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States; hybrid schedule based in the Reston office

Annual base salary: $108,900–$147,300

What you will do

• Direct large-scale, complex software projects involving multiple matrixed teams and stakeholders.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, strategy, and requirements with senior management and business partners.
• Coordinate engineering, operations, corporate, security, and business teams to maintain alignment and deliver projects on schedule.
• Manage project roadmaps, budgets, dependencies, critical paths, risks, issues, and change control.
• Develop project metrics, executive dashboards, investment summaries, and portfolio reporting.
• Facilitate resolution of technical issues and communicate complex technical information to business and executive audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience with large-scale software development projects.
• 3+ years of direct experience managing software projects involving multiple sub-teams, financial project management, and cross-divisional staff.
• Basic understanding of J2EE technologies and distributed architectures.
• Experience with highly available, transaction-intensive OLTP systems and API interfaces.
• Strong facilitation, requirements analysis, consulting, stakeholder coordination, and leadership-review skills.
