Senior PHP/Go Engineer - Checkout (Ecommerce)

Location: Hamburg or Berlin, Germany

Salary: €70,000–€85,000 yearly

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable APIs in modern PHP.
• Translate complex business requirements into clean, idiomatic Go implementations.
• Build high-throughput, low-latency services using Go concurrency primitives such as goroutines and channels.
• Apply Test-Driven Development, pair programming, and automated CI/CD practices.
• Take ownership of technical initiatives and collaborate directly with product managers and engineers.
• Mentor developers through code reviews and collaborative sessions while exploring modern tooling, including AI coding assistants.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on backend engineering experience.
• Strong experience with modern PHP 8+ and Symfony or Laravel.
• Deep experience with Go, native concurrency primitives, and distributed system design.
• Knowledge of SOLID principles, clean architecture, MySQL optimization, and Redis caching.
• Experience or active interest in GenAI tools for development workflows or product features.
• Strong English communication skills and availability to work in Hamburg or Berlin, Germany.
