Commodity Buyer (Raw Material)

What you will do

• Own procurement strategies for key raw material commodities and manage €20–30 million in spend across six countries.
• Lead allocation processes with Logistics and develop regional commodity strategies aligned with global and European direction.
• Optimize the supplier base across cost, quality, sustainability, reliability, delivery, and risk.
• Lead multi-country commodity projects, supplier negotiations, tenders, contracts, and long-term agreements.
• Manage forecasting, purchasing master data, pricing, contract renewals, and supplier performance evaluation.
• Collaborate with R&D, Supply Chain, Sales, Operations, Finance, Quality, Sustainability, HSE, and local production teams.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, with knowledge of procurement processes and category management.
• Expertise in market intelligence, purchasing strategies, cost-improvement initiatives, and procurement best practices.
• Strong analytical, communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems; proficiency in data analysis and data management.
• University degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Fluent English is required.
