Linux Administrator (Infrastructure)

Location: Remote from Serbia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Moldova, Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Czech Republic, Portugal, Spain, or the United Arab Emirates. Flexible start time, with availability required before 12:00 pm EET/EEST.

What you will do

• Build, operate, and continuously improve private cloud infrastructure based on OpenStack and Kubernetes.
• Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux systems across bare-metal, virtual machine, cloud, and container environments.
• Operate infrastructure services including DNS, GitLab, Artifactory, Vault, monitoring, logging, backup, and restore systems.
• Perform upgrades, CVE patching, security scans, incident response, post-mortems, and root cause analysis.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks, improve reliability, and ensure environments meet availability SLAs.
• Collaborate with development teams on production infrastructure issues and maintain operational documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Linux System Administrator, DevOps Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer.
• Strong experience designing, building, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux servers in production.
• Experience with infrastructure services, automation tools such as Ansible, Salt, or Chef, and containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring and log aggregation tools, cloud or virtualization platforms such as OpenStack, VMware, Proxmox, AWS, GCP, or Azure, and DevOps tools and CI/CD workflows.
• Skills in Bash and Python, plus familiarity with servers and databases including Nginx, Apache Tomcat, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and RabbitMQ.
• Russian at C1 level and English at B1 level required.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting Kubernetes workloads and cluster issues.
• Experience deploying, configuring, maintaining, or troubleshooting OpenStack private clouds.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with fintech, trading, high-load, or mission-critical systems.
