Data Engineer (AI)

Location: London (Waterloo), hybrid with three days per week in the office

hirify.global is building an end-to-end real estate investment platform that combines software, data, financing, accounting, property services, and portfolio management.

What you will do

• Own and build the data platform powering the property investment intelligence layer.
• Design ingestion pipelines for structured datasets, APIs, documents, policy updates, and regulatory guidance.
• Structure and serve reliable information for products and AI agents, preserving provenance, geographic scope, and effective dates.
• Develop shared data models and ingestion patterns for international expansion across property markets, tax systems, and regulations.
• Build monitoring, validation, recovery, and quality controls across the data lifecycle.
• Set technical direction, document architectural decisions, and help shape future data standards and team capabilities.

Requirements

• Experience designing, building, and operating production data platforms or substantial parts of them.
• Strong SQL, data modelling, production programming, orchestration, testing, deployment, and pipeline operations skills.
• Experience working with inconsistent formats, changing schemas, incomplete records, rate limits, integration failures, and external sources beyond clean APIs.
• Ability to assess data source quality, reconcile conflicting information, and make uncertainty visible to downstream users.
• Product mindset and ability to work with domain experts and product engineers on ambiguous data problems.
• Understanding of access controls, privacy, and the responsibilities of combining customer and external data.

Nice to have

• Experience building data foundations for AI products, including retrieval, document processing, or agent information-quality evaluation.
• Experience modelling policy or regulatory information with versioning and effective dates.
• Experience with property, financial services, geospatial, or international datasets.
• Familiarity with GCP and collaboration with backend engineering teams.
• Experience establishing data standards or helping build a data team.
