Control Panel Mechanical Engineer

What you will do

• Design control panels, electrical enclosures, racks, hinges, overlays, sheet metal structures, mounting systems, and cable-routing features.
• Create 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, tolerance analyses, BOMs, and production-release documentation.
• Integrate mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software systems across engineering validation and manufacturing environments.
• Support prototype builds, engineering bring-up, debugging, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and mechanical validation.
• Drive DFM/DFA improvements covering manufacturability, reliability, cost, and serviceability.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams on fabrication feasibility, pilot builds, process validation, fixtures, and production issue resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, enclosure development, electromechanical product development, or related R&D roles.
• Experience supporting product development from concept design and prototyping through validation, manufacturing release, and production support.
• Experience with sheet metal design, enclosure systems, electromechanical integration, or industrial equipment development.
• Knowledge of mechanical validation, reliability testing, material selection, manufacturing processes, root-cause analysis, and industrial compliance requirements.
