Review Operations Leader (AI)

Location: New York, United States; on-site

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 per year, including base salary and applicable on-target incentives.

What you will do

• Build, lead, and scale a high-volume review and approval organization with internal teams and external vendor partners.
• Own review coverage, multi-pass accuracy, reviewer throughput, SLA compliance, headcount planning, scheduling, and operational budgets.
• Design calibration sessions, inter-annotator agreement audits, quality reporting, merchant approval workflows, and verification checks.
• Partner with data engineering, product, and AI research teams to integrate operational insights into model training, annotation workflows, and field-capture guidelines.
• Lead investigations and response protocols for fraud, data tampering, merchant compliance issues, and platform-integrity risks.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of progressive operational leadership experience in review, merchant, trust and safety, community, or data quality operations.
• Experience building quality-control frameworks with scorecards, statistical sampling, calibration sessions, and coaching loops.
• Strong analytical skills, including operational dashboards, SQL queries, unit-economics modeling, and statistical performance communication.
• Experience managing large-scale teams, performance frameworks, vendor relationships, SLAs, and operational budgets.

Nice to have

• Experience in merchant operations, content moderation, or onboarding for marketplaces, logistics, or delivery platforms.
• Experience procuring and managing third-party BPO vendors and conducting business reviews.
• Familiarity with computer-vision data collection, video evaluation, bounding-box or semantic-segmentation annotation, or synthetic-data training.
