hirify.global’s Calty Design Research, Inc. develops innovative vehicle and mobility concepts for hirify.global and Lexus across experimental, advanced, competition, and production design programs.

What you will do

• Create high-quality aesthetic exterior vehicle surfaces from 2D renderings and 3D concept data.
• Develop digital models using Alias NURBS, with work involving Sub-D and Blender models.
• Collaborate with automotive designers and engineers to refine models as design direction changes.
• Manage deliverables and project timelines to produce production-level exterior surfaces efficiently.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or Transportation Design.
• 7+ years of experience using Alias to create digital models of automotive exterior surfaces.
• Ability to translate 2D automotive exterior sketches into 3D digital surfaces with strong aesthetic and design sensibility.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
• A portfolio showing complete automotive exterior surfaces, not only components, is required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Sub-D modeling.
• Polygon modeling ability.
