Senior FPGA Engineer (FPGA)

What you will do

• Develop FPGA implementations with Vitis HLS, generating VHDL and Verilog from C/C++ code.
• Translate algorithms and system requirements into efficient hardware architectures optimized for performance and latency.
• Build and optimize high-level synthesis pipelines and dataflow architectures.
• Collaborate with software, avionics, hardware, and systems engineers to integrate FPGA functionality into embedded platforms.
• Perform simulation, synthesis, timing analysis, hardware validation, board bring-up, and debugging.
• Optimize throughput, determinism, resource utilization, and FPGA functionality verification.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated experience with Vitis HLS or similar high-level synthesis tools.
• Strong C/C++ programming experience for hardware-oriented development.
• Experience generating VHDL or Verilog from HLS workflows.
• Familiarity with FPGA simulation, synthesis, timing closure, and Xilinx/AMD FPGA platforms and toolchains.
• Access to classified information or restricted U.S. Government systems may require a security clearance, government authorization, and applicable citizenship or eligibility requirements. Export-controlled information access must also be possible without additional export licensing.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-throughput signal processing, sensor processing, or real-time embedded systems.
• Experience optimizing HLS pipelines for latency, parallelism, and memory bandwidth.
• Familiarity with AXI interfaces, DMA, FPGA-based accelerators, Vivado, and Vitis.
• Background in aerospace, defense, robotics, or other high-performance embedded systems.
