Robotics Engineer

Location: Bloomington, Minnesota, United States; hybrid work schedule with time spent in the office and from home. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Annual salary: $96,900–$121,100

What you will do

• Own and advance autonomous features and robotic subsystems covering localization, planning, and control.
• Develop and optimize SLAM solutions using 2D/3D mapping, LiDAR, vision, loop closure, and map optimization.
• Design multisensor fusion systems using EKF, UKF, and factor graph methods.
• Develop planning and control capabilities including MPC, LQR, trajectory tracking, and model identification.
• Plan experiments and verification activities, define performance indicators, and conduct failure-mode and root-cause analyses.
• Integrate systems on NVIDIA and ARM embedded platforms, collaborate with suppliers and engineering teams, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, robotics, computer science, or a related technical field.
• Relevant professional experience ranging from 2–4 years for Robotics Engineer II to 10–12+ years for Robotics Engineer V.
• Experience with SLAM, multisensor fusion, advanced planning and control, autonomous-system safety, and real-time performance.
• Experience with embedded computing platforms, including NVIDIA and ARM architectures.
• Ability to evaluate accuracy, latency, and reliability metrics and perform technical analysis.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
