Catering Coordinator (Food Service)

Location: 251 E. Huron, Chicago, IL; Feinberg/Galter; onsite role. Full-time, 40 hours per week, with a rotating schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, including weekends and holidays.

Salary: $23.03–$41.46 per hour.

What you will do

• Coordinate catering for hospital meetings and events and collaborate with staff across departments.
• Enter and verify catering orders, clarify requirements with customers, and confirm event details.
• Arrange timely delivery of food, beverages, equipment, and other catering supplies according to event routing.
• Maintain the catering room, food presentation, equipment cleanliness, sanitation, and operational readiness.
• Lead catering operations for assigned events, including booking, costing, pricing, rentals, and staffing.
• Train and schedule temporary and permanent staff while responding to customer feedback and service needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 5–10 years of catering experience.
• Proven success in customer service outcomes.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Daily compliance with food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and organizational standards.

Nice to have

• Proficient computer skills.
• Food Service Sanitation license.
