Co-op, Data Science & AI Innovation

Location: Remote, USA; legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Base compensation: $29.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Develop and deploy AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, and decision-support solutions for R&D portfolio management.
• Build interactive dashboards, reporting tools, data products, and AI agents for portfolio reporting, risk identification, and workflow automation.
• Design and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, AI platforms, and software products integrating Planisware and enterprise systems.
• Support the design, optimization, and governance of a Snowflake-based data ecosystem.
• Research emerging AI, machine learning, and agentic AI technologies and identify applications in pharmaceutical R&D.
• Collaborate with data scientists, portfolio analysts, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders across the solution lifecycle.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Computational Biology, or a related field.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, community college, or skills program/apprenticeship and at least 18 years old before the start date.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or another programming language used for data science and analytics.
• Strong foundation in machine learning, statistics, data analysis, NLP, LLMs, and generative AI, with familiarity with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face.
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL, SQL, enterprise-scale data platforms, and data modeling concepts.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, cloud platforms, GitHub, CI/CD, Kubernetes, containers, or Linux.
• Experience with Monte Carlo simulation, optimization, forecasting, decision science, or AI-powered applications.
• Experience with Streamlit, Power BI, or similar data visualization and product development tools.
• Background in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, quality, compliance, or R&D portfolio analytics.
