Engineering Manager - Pricing (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam; candidates are currently considered based in the Netherlands

What you will do

• Lead the team responsible for the pricing engine and its supporting services.
• Own the multi-year pricing engine capability and roadmap, including pricing rules, models, and shared services.
• Guide analysis, solution design, development, and testing for pricing capabilities across fulfillment models, service lines, and prototype or production offerings.
• Create and manage production LLM-based capabilities for generating or recommending pricing rules and supporting pricing decisions, including evaluation, retraining, and governance.
• Build a consistent enterprise pricing architecture that avoids duplicated or siloed implementations.
• Hire, mentor, and develop software engineering, applied ML/LLM, and technical product management staff while partnering with pricing analysts and service-line leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience leading and managing software engineering teams.
• Strong software engineering experience with complex rules-based or model-driven decisioning systems, such as pricing or recommendation engines.
• Production experience building and managing LLM-based or applied ML/AI capabilities as real product features.
• Experience owning capability and roadmap strategy and building reusable enterprise services across multiple business lines or customer segments.
• Strong cross-functional partnership and people-management skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in a related field.
• Experience with pricing strategy, revenue management, or similar quantitative business systems.
• Senior or staff-level experience leading engineering or applied ML teams.
