Head of AI

Location: Almere, Netherlands; hybrid work with a minimum of two office days per week and regular office presence when needed

Salary: €60,000–€65,000 per year

What you will do

• Define, drive, and operationalise the AI roadmap across products, engineering, and business functions.
• Drive AI adoption and create alignment between Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders.
• Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions, ROI, and business value for AI initiatives.
• Lead AI initiatives from initial idea through production delivery.
• Design AI architectures and integration patterns using modern AI platforms.
• Build or oversee proofs of concept and provide hands-on technical leadership.

Requirements

• More than 10 years of professional experience.
• Strong combination of AI strategy, product thinking, technical architecture, delivery leadership, and practical execution.
• Ability to define and execute an AI roadmap and lead organisation-wide AI initiatives.
• Hands-on understanding of modern AI platforms, including OpenAI, Anthropic, and AWS Bedrock.
• Ability to remain technically hands-on while leading AI across the organisation.
• Ability to work regularly from the Netherlands office, with at least two days per week in Almere.
