Senior Manager, Perception Data (Autonomous Driving)

What you will do

• Own the perception data flywheel from fleet signals and model behavior through data discovery, curation, enrichment, training, evaluation, and measurement.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of more than 10 people across data science, data engineering, and data labeling.
• Build auto-annotation and auto-labeling pipelines to improve label quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.
• Develop data miners using embeddings, semantic search, learned representations, and model-driven selection to identify rare and safety-critical scenarios.
• Define how fleet logs are selected, stored, and retrieved, balancing quality, accuracy, speed, cost, and scale.
• Partner with ML, metrics and evaluation, and infrastructure teams to connect curated data with model performance.

Requirements

• Experience building and leading high-performing technical teams in data science, data engineering, machine learning, or data labeling.
• Experience managing managers or senior individual contributors.
• Deep technical expertise in computer vision, video, multimodal AI, or related perception problems.
• Experience leading large-scale data capabilities that directly influence model training, evaluation, and performance.
• Strong judgment in data discovery, selection, curation, and enrichment, including quality, speed, cost, and build-versus-buy trade-offs.
• Ability to set strategy, work through ambiguity, engage with technical detail, and influence senior technical and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in autonomous driving, robotics, or embodied AI.
• Experience with large-scale video, multimodal, or foundation-model training.
• Experience with semantic search, embeddings, active learning, auto-labeling, or intelligent data selection and enrichment.
• Experience acquiring large-scale real-world data across fleets, partners, or multiple geographies.
