Data Scientist (AI)

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States

Salary: $160,000–$200,000 annual base salary, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with product, design, engineering, and support teams across the full analytics lifecycle, from exploratory analysis to dashboards, reports, and A/B testing.
• Define KPIs and diagnostic metrics that improve the user experience, and build timely, actionable dashboards.
• Build custom datasets to monitor new product features and operational processes.
• Design, analyze, and interpret experiments while promoting A/B testing best practices.
• Collaborate with data and engineering teams on scalable instrumentation and self-serve analytics tooling.
• Communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences and refine analyses based on feedback.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on analytics experience turning ambiguous business problems into actionable insights.
• Experience designing, analyzing, and interpreting A/B tests at scale.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience building clean, performant dashboards with Tableau, Looker, or similar tools.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain complex findings.
• Work location: San Francisco Bay Area.

Nice to have

• Experience with performance or reliability analytics for online services.
• Familiarity with social or subscription products, including social graphs, LTV, or funnel analysis.
• Production ETL or BigQuery experience.
• Experience using AI in data science work.
• Interest in Discord or online communities.
